SPICED ROSEMARY NUTS

Spiced Rosemary Nuts

The Ultimate Workday & Party Snacks; Sweet and Spicy Roasted Nuts (Ina Garten Inspired)

First things first, I absolutely love Ina Garten (honestly, who doesn’t?!). Her classic Chipotle and Rosemary Roasted Nuts have made appearances on her podcast and television shows as her ultimate crowd-pleasing party trick. The original recipe is famously simple and completely delicious, but you know me—I can never leave a recipe completely alone!

I wanted to give her legendary appetizer a quick little upgrade to fit my personal taste buds and my chaotic work-from-home schedule.

My Custom Flavor Twist

Ina’s original recipe relies heavily on smoky chipotle powder. I wanted something with a bit more dimensional warmth, so I swapped the chipotle for a custom triple-threat spice blend: paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.

I also dialed back the fresh rosemary just a touch so it didn’t overpower the blend. But hey, if you are a massive rosemary fan, measure with your heart! You do you.

Why this recipe wins

Zero Dishes: You mix everything right on a single sheet pan and roast it in the oven. That’s it!

Completely Customizable: Use whatever nuts you have in your pantry, cashews, walnuts, pecans, almonds, or all the above. They all work beautifully.

The Perfect Appetizer, Snacks and Gift: I recently packed a jar for my neighbors, and they loved them!

The Software Consultant Secret Weapon

When I’m not in the kitchen, I work in the software business. Some days, I find myself working incredibly long hours and needing a quick, brain-boosting snack. This recipe completely hits the spot. It keeps my energy levels up without the sugar crash, making it the perfect desk companion.

Whether you need a fancy addition to your weekend wine and cocktail lineup, a thoughtful holiday gift, or just a survival snack for a busy workday, you need to try these.

Let’s cook some food or should I say let’s roast some nuts!

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and brush a rimmed baking sheet generously with vegetable oil.
Dump your nuts directly onto the sheet pan. Drizzle with the oil, maple syrup, brown sugar, and orange juice. Mix right on the pan until evenly coated.
Sprinkle your custom paprika-chili-cayenne spice blend, minced fresh rosemary, and 2 teaspoons of sea salt over the nuts. Toss again.

Spread them out into a single flat layer.

Spiced Rosemary Nuts

Roast for 25 minutes, stirring twice during baking so they glaze evenly and don’t burn.

Spiced Rosemary Nuts

Remove from the oven. While they are still piping hot, hit them with the remaining salt.

Spiced Rosemary Nuts

Let them cool completely on the pan, stirring occasionally so they don’t stick together.

Spiced Rosemary Nuts

Enjoy warm or store in an airtight jar!

Hope you give this Spiced Rosemary Nuts a try and let me know how it goes. The recipe and comment box are below. 🙂
