Serves: 6 dumplings
Ingredients
  • For the dumplings:
  • 6 large wonton (egg rolls) wrappers
  • 1 cup finely chopped green onions
  • salt
  • water (to seal the dumplings)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • For the dipping sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Mountain Seasoning sauce (or light soy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili in oil
Instructions
  1. Spread chopped green onions on a wonton wrapper, leave about an inch to the edges. Sprinkle lightly with some salt.
  2. Brush the edges of the wrapper lightly with water. Roll it up from one end to another.
  3. Brush the seal side with water. Roll again into a ball.
  4. Gently flatten with a palm of your hand. Don't worry if it breaks a little, if that happens just tap it with some water and try to pinch it back. No big deal though, it will still taste yummy.
  5. Repeat the process and make the rest. Let them sit a little bit before frying them.
  6. Make the dipping sauce. Combine vinegar, Golden Mountain Seasoning sauce (or light soy sauce), sugar and the chili in oil into a small serving bowl. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan, medium heat. Fry the dumplings in hot vegetable oil until each side is golden brown. Serve hot with the dipping sauce.
