PEPPERMINT MOCHA LATTE

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) of milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3-4 tablespoons agave
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) good brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (or imitation peppermint flavor)
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 peppermint candy canes
Instructions
  1. Start with making the peppermint mocha mix. In a small sauce pan or pot, medium heat, add milk , cocoa powder and sweetener (sugar, Splenda, agave, whatever you like). For sweetener, start with a small amount, then you can add more if it's not sweet enough. Whisk and bring it to a simmer.
  2. Brew 8 oz. (1 cup) of good coffee.
  3. Add the coffee to the pot and peppermint extract. Stir to mix everything together.
  4. Use handheld mixer and whip heavy whipping cream until soft peak.
  5. Crush a peppermint candy cane in a bag using bottom of a glass.
  6. Pour the hot coffee mix into the cups, top with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candy cane and a stick of candy cane in each cup. Enjoy!
Notes
You can use any kind of sweetener like sugar, agave or Splenda, also any kind of milk like soy, almond, skim or regular milk.
