Serves: 22 dates
Ingredients
  • 11 bacon slices
  • 22 large dates
  • 4 oz. goat cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice the dates lengthwise on one side to create an opening. Remove the pit.
  3. Stuff a small amount of goat cheese into the cavity of each date and press the sides together to close.
  4. Cut the bacon slices in half. Wrap each date with a slice of bacon.
  5. Secure each of these Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Goat Cheese with toothpicks or you can use wooden skewers and skew 4-5 dates per one skewer.
  6. Arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake them and flip them every 10 minutes. Bake them until browned to your liking. For thick cut bacon, it takes about 40 minutes.
  7. Once they are done, remove them from the oven and lay them on paper towels.
  8. Let them cool, remove them from the skewers and serve.
Notes
If you use thin cut bacon, it should take about 20 minutes. I used thick cut and it took me about 40 minutes.
