Recipe type: Panini
Cuisine: Italian
Serves: 4 sandwiches
Ingredients
  • 8 slices raisin nut bread
  • a handful of baby arugula (baby rockets)
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • fig jam
  • butter
  • cream cheese
Instructions
  1. Spread some fig jam on one side of a slice of raisin nut bread and cream cheese on the other slice.
  2. Fold prosciutto slices in half and put it on one sides of the bread and a handful of arugula on the other side. Close up the sandwiches.
  3. Butter the exposed part of the bread on both side for extra flavor. If you have a panini press, heat it and toast them to your liking. You can also use a grill pan with a panini press. Heat the pan and press on the stove for a few minutes.
  4. When the pan is hot, put the sandwiches on and place the press on top. Let them sit for a few minutes. It depends on how crispy you like, lift the press to check them out. Once they are done to your liking, serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes
If you don't have the grill pan like mine or panini press, you can use a non-stick pan and put another pan on top with a couple cans of soup on top to weigh it down. Then flip the sandwiches and put the pan/cans back. You won't get the grill marks but they will still taste delish.
