Recipe type: Savory Crepe
Cuisine: French
Serves: 6 crepes
Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 6 slices honey ham
  • 4 oz.fresh grated Gruyere cheese
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs.
  2. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine.
  3. Add the salt and melted butter; beat until smooth. The batter will be runny, like thin pancake batter.
  4. Heat a crepe pan or non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan, using approximately ¼ cup for each crepe.
  5. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly. Don't worry about it being perfectly round, it will still taste good either way.
  6. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is lightly brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and add grated Gruyere cheese on top. Follow by a slice of ham and more cheese.
  7. Let it cook for a minute until other side is lightly brown.
  8. Fold the crepe in half then fold again and you will get a Ham and Cheese Crepe in triangle shape. Serve warm with a cup of coffee, tea or juice.
Notes
You can also roll the crepes instead of folding, whichever way you prefer.
